On September 11, 2001, many people went about there days as normal; after all, it was just another Tuesday in September. On that day 213 passengers and 33 crew members would board 4 different flights, heading to California; however, unbeknownst to them 19 hijackers would board these flights with them. Below are the four planes boarded by these hijackers with their departure time and place along with their intended arrival and eventual ending destination.

As shown by the chart above two different airlines where used, American and United. The flights boarded that day were all heading out west to California, with three out of the four flights heading for Los Angeles. None of these flights made it to there intended destinations as three out of the four flights hit their targeted buildings. The passengers of flight 93 were able to take back control of the plane and eventual crash land in Pennsylvania.
September 11, 2001 was a long day of uncertainty for everyone in the country. Below is the complete timeline of events.

8:20 AM | American Airlines Flight 77 | Departs from Dulles International Airport, Dulles is a city in Virgina that sits on the outskirts of Washington DC. This plane is headed to LA. There are 5 hijackers and 59 passengers and crew on board. |
8:24 AM | Flight 11 | Mohamed Atta, one of the hijackers, accidentally alerts air controllers in Boston of the attack. Atta hit the wrong button as he intended to speak to only the passengers and crew aboard the plane |
8:37 AM | Boston | Boston Air Traffic Controller alert the US Airforce North Eastern Defense Sector of the attack. Immediate action was taken and the Air national guard was mobilized |
8:42 AM | United Airlines Flight 93 | The last plane to leave. Departs from Newark Liberty International Airport in NJ. The flight was delayed due to routine ground traffic. On route to San Francisco. Four hijackers and forty passengers and crew are on board. |

9:37 AM | Flight 77 | Crashes into the Pentagon. The Crash killed all who was on board the plane and 125 military and civilian personal inside the building. |
